A gamer is someone that plays games, doesn't matter which ones.

Would a musician not be a musician if he only played classical music and not music from the 20th/21st century?

Besides, I think SNES games, blow most current games out of the water, and I say that as a person who plays 360 and Wii, all the way back to NES.

Which is ironic because both of these idiots own Wii's and Xbox 360's and download old school games on em.

Thanks Ant!

.....seriously? thats a horrible analogy, you answered your own question, that would make him a classical musician. if someone plays tetris and only tetris today, refuses to buy any current consoles, is he still a gamer?

and you are right about that second statement, alot of SNES are better than alot of current-gen games, but you wouldnt know that if you weren't a gamer.

I consider him a retro gamer, not a gamer. I'm a gamer because I like the industry evolved. I went from a NES to a Super NES, to a Game Cube...etc.

The angry video game nerd is fucking talented, funny, and creative, and I love his work. But I don't consider him (as a person or a character) to be a "gamer". Retro gamer yes.

On a side note, I don't play old school games that much because most of them look like rotted ass turned over to me know. Some have stood the test of time, but seriously, I can barely look at FF VII without questioning why I use to play a Popeye rpg.
